Pilates in Leeds: The Highest-Rated Studios and Where to Find Them

23 October 2026 · 5 min read

Leeds has more pilates studios in our directory than any other UK city outside London: 70 places to do pilates, spread from the city centre out to Guiseley, Garforth and Rothwell. That’s plenty of choice, but it can make it hard to know where to start. This guide covers the highest-rated studios, where classes are clustered, and what you can expect to pay.

The highest-rated pilates studios in Leeds

This list is ranked by Google rating, then by number of reviews. Only studios with at least 25 reviews are included, so the ranking reflects a decent number of customers and not just a handful of five-star reviews. It updates automatically as ratings change.

Ratings are one signal, not the whole picture. A studio with fewer reviews may simply be newer, or smaller. The full Leeds listing has every studio, with maps and class details.

Where to find pilates in Leeds, area by area

City centre (LS1, LS2)

The biggest cluster, with over a dozen studios. This is where you’ll find most of the boutique reformer studios, plus physio clinics that run pilates classes. It’s handy if you work in town and want a lunchtime or after-work class.

Chapel Allerton and Roundhay (LS7, LS8)

North Leeds has a strong cluster of independent studios: ten in LS7 and LS8 between them. They include reformer studios such as Chapel Allerton Pilates, which also runs prenatal and postnatal classes, and BLOC Studio.

Headingley, Horsforth, Adel and Alwoodley (LS6, LS16, LS17, LS18)

The north-west suburbs have nearly 20 places between them, mixing small studios, community classes and physio practices. If you live out this way, there’s little reason to travel into the centre.

Guiseley and Yeadon (LS19, LS20)

A surprisingly busy pocket, with nine listings, including yoga-and-pilates studios and a Nuffield Health club.

East and south Leeds (LS15, LS25, LS26, LS28)

Crossgates, Garforth, Rothwell and Pudsey each have a handful of options. Many of them are physio- or clinic-led, which suits people coming to pilates for rehab or back pain.

Physio-led and clinical pilates

If you’re managing an injury, back pain or a long-term condition, a class run by a physiotherapist can be a safer starting point than a general class. Leeds has several, including Leeds Physiotherapy and Pilates Practice in Rothwell, Physiofit in Horsforth and Physio-led Pilates with Louise Samuels in Pudsey.

What pilates costs in Leeds

Leeds is noticeably cheaper than London. The studios that publish their prices mostly charge around £15 to £30 for a single class. Most of them also have an intro offer. Prices change, so check the studio’s own booking page.

Choosing your first Leeds studio

  1. Pick by location first. A studio near home or work is the one you’ll actually keep going to.
  2. Decide on reformer or mat. If you’re unsure, read reformer vs mat pilates.
  3. Use an intro offer to try two or three studios before buying a pack.
